Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has removed 40 illegal apps.
As per details, significant progress has been made in curbing financial frauds through mobile apps, with SECP officials saying that out of 75 illegal apps, 40 have been removed.
According to officials, with the help of Google, the rest of the apps will also be downloaded by May 31, the apps operating from abroad will no longer be accessible to the users.
According to the officials, it has been made mandatory for loan business to get forensic audit and NOC, forensic audit certificate from audit firm approved by PTA.
Officials say that under the agreement with Google to curb illegal business, SECP will issue Business NOC on the basis of this certificate.
