San Francisco: The popular messaging app \’Whatsapp\’, which has decided to do something new for its users, has introduced three more new features.
According to the Meta-owned messaging app, WhatsApp has introduced some new security features aimed at better protecting users\’ privacy, including account protection, device verification, and automatic security codes.
automatic security code
The feature is based on key transparency which will allow users to automatically verify whether their communication is secure or not.
According to WhatsApp, key transparency helps strengthen the guarantee of end-to-end encryption and WhatsApp has also released an open source library for this purpose.
account protect
This security feature will protect accounts that are switched from one device to another.
Under this feature, when a user switches his account from one device to another, it will be verified by WhatsApp.
With this feature users will come to know that no one is trying to transfer their account to another account without their permission.
device verification
This feature will protect the WhatsApp account in case a hacker has gained control of the device.
According to the company, mobile device malware is one of the biggest threats to people\’s privacy and security, as it can be used to send unwanted messages to WhatsApp accounts on phones without permission.
Thus this new feature will stop the attempt to control WhatsApp account.
